Dansk herrecurling arbejder stærkt på at komme tilbage i den europæiske A-gruppe. For at nå dette mål søger Dansk Curling Forbund en god træner til herrelandsholdet.
Europamesterskabet bliver i år afholdt i Perth, i Skotland, d. 18.-25. november 2023. Vores curling herrelandshold er et udtaget landshold og består af Mikkel Krause, Mads Nørgaard, Henrik Holtermann, Oliver Søe samt en endnu ikke udtaget 5. spiller.
Frem mod EM i november, forbereder landsholdet sig ved at spille følgende turneringer:
NCT Jönköping, Sverige (13.-15.10.2023)
NCT Sundbyberg, Sverige (27.-29.10.2023)
NCT Danish Open, Copenhagen, Danmark (02.-05.11.2023)
Som træner skal du lægge en indsats i at lære spillerne at kende og deltage i NCT Danish Open og en til to yderligere turneringer plus træningssamlinger.
Vi forventer, at du allerede har trænererfaring på højt niveau og kan se udfordringen i at rykke Danmark op i A-gruppen. Såfremt træningen bliver succesfuld, vil det være naturligt at forlænge samarbejdet frem mod kvalifikation af Danmark til OL 2026.
Der vil være et mindre honorar samt dækning af udgifter, men vi er et lille forbund med meget begrænset økonomi. Derfor er dette et job for dig, som er bidt af udfordringen i at arbejde med et hold af topmotiverede og talentfulde curlingspillere. Ikke på grund af lønnen. Af samme grund vil du højst sandsynlig bo i Europa, så det er muligt at holde rejseomkostningerne nede.

Coach for the Danish men’s team at the Europeans 2023
Danish curling is looking at getting back into the Euro A division, and our Danish Men’s team needs a good coach.
The European Championships takes place in Perth, Scotland, 18.-25.11.2023. Our Men’s team is a selected national team and consists of Mikkel Krause, Mads Nørgaard, Henrik Holtermann, Oliver Søe and a not yet selected 5th player.
The team is preparing for the Euros playing the following tournaments:
NCT Jönköping, Sweden (13.-15.10.2023)
NCT Sundbyberg, Sweden (27.-29.10.2023)
NCT Danish Open, Copenhagen, Denmark (02.-05.11.2023)
We expect you to travel to Denmark/Sweden to get to know the team, work with them and participate in the Danish Open and 1 or 2 other tournaments and some training sessions.
We expect you to have coached and/or coached at a high level before and can see a challenge contributing to get Denmark to the A-group. If successful it would be natural to extend the engagement towards the goal of qualifying for the Olympics 2026.
We will of course pay your expenses and a salary, but we are a small association with very limited funding, so you do the job primarily for the challenge and to get to work with a bunch of motivated and talented curlers, and not for the money. For that same reason you probably reside in Europe, so travel costs can be kept down.
